ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR OCTOBER 30/31, 2010

Purchase items made in the HOLY LAND in the back of church.

If you have not done so, please fill out the PARISHIONER SURVEY.
Extra copies are on all exit tables. Completed surveys can be placed in the SURVEY BOX at the south-west exit.

Friday we have Eucharistic Adoration beginning at 9am with closing Benediction at 5pm. Sign-up at the South/west exit for your special time with the Lord.

On Saturday from 7am-8am we have our monthly HOLY HOUR to pray
for VOCATIONS.

Please Note: On Monday, All Saints Day and Tuesday, All Souls Day we will have Masses at regular times: 6am and 8:15am. The church office will be closed on Monday.

Mark your calendar for our PARISH MISSION with Fr. Bruce Nieli— Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday November 8th ,9th and 10th . Each night the Mission “Praying to the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity” will be in
the church from 6:30-7:30pm.

We will have our annual MEMORIAL MASS on Thursday, Nov. 18th at 6pm. Fill out the purple bulletin insert if you have a family member or friend who died during this past year and you would like them prayed for and remembered at this Special Mass.

ALL SOULS ENVELOPES can be picked up at any exit table. All envelopes need to be turned in by next Sunday.

SPANISH FOOD SALE is THIS Sunday after the 10am Mass.

Would your child or teenager like to join the Children’s Christmas Choir? The children will sing along with the Contemporary Choir at the 5pm Christmas Eve Mass. Children from 2nd Grade and up are invited to sign-up at any exit.

Next weekend after all Masses you will have the opportunity to purchase items made in the Holy Land.

PLEASE TAKE SPECIAL NOTICE: This Thursday at the 8:15am Mass, Bishop Byrne Middle and High School will host a special Mass in celebration of the appointment of Bishop Peter Sartain to the position of Archbishop of Seattle. As most of you know, Bishop Sartain graduated from St. Paul Elementary and Bishop Byrne High School. His sister, Sally Hermsdorfer, will speak about her brother’s days at both schools and accept congratulations on his behalf.

Since St. Paul Students will attend this special Mass on Thursday, there will be no school Mass on Friday and Mass will be in the Parish Hall.

CYO Meeting is this Sunday at 6pm in the Parish Hall.

ALL SOULS ENVELOPES can be picked up at any exit table. Please turn in your envelope next weekend in the collection basket or take to the parish office.

Knights of Columbus are at the exit doors collecting donations for the annual MR DRIVE which assists the mentally challenged. Please be generous.

The CYO invites all our Parish Children, ages 10 and under, to join them for a FUN afternoon, next Saturday from 1 to 3pm in the Parish Hall. This Pre-Halloween Open House will have games, candy and surprises! Wear your Halloween costume.

The SHOT NURSE will be here next Sunday from 10:30 to Noon. Shots will be given in the Parish Hall Library.

We are again forming a Children’s Christmas Choir to sing Christmas Eve at the 5pm Mass. Children grade 2 and up are invited to sign-up at any exit door.

Last of Fr. Pugh’s Scripture Study class about THE BOOK OF PSALMS…. THIS MONDAY in the Parish Hall from 6:30-8:00pm.

If you did not get the ALL SOULS DAY insert in last week’s bulletin, there are copies on all exit tables. Please fill in the names of those loved ones you want remembered during the month of November and turn in the envelope next weekend in the collection basket or take to the parish office.

All Catholic men 18 years of age and older are invited to talk to a member of the Knights of Columbus and learn the benefits of being one of the members. Knights are in the back of church for your convenience.

Knights of Columbus are also at each exit collecting donations for the annual MR DRIVE which assists the mentally challenged. Please be generous.

Next Saturday the Knights of Columbus will have there monthly spaghetti dinner. (Serving from 5pm to 7pm.) Make plans to enjoy!

CYO Meeting this Sunday at 6pm in the Parish Hall.

Fr. Pugh’s Scripture Study class about THE BOOK OF PSALMS continues THIS MONDAY in the Parish Hall from 6:30-8:00pm.

Study groups continue teaching about the New Roman Missal. Even if you did not sign-up you are invited to join in. Call the rectory for the schedules.

Memphis Life Chain is THIS SUNDAY from 2-3pm. Maybe your sacrifice of one hour will save the life of an unborn baby. See the bulletin for St. Paul location.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no school Masses this week so all Masses will be in the Parish Hall.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Friday for Mrs. Madeline Koban who taught at St. Paul School for 20 years. See the bulletin for more information.

Be sure to take home a bulletin with the ALL SOULS DAY insert. Fr. Pugh has written a beautiful explanation of this day of remembrance. and included a beautiful prayer for the Faithful Departed on the back side of the insert.
